Looking for a spot for fika in Stockholm? Here you’ll find my five favorite places for gluten free treats!
Malvas Glutenfria Bageri

This is the bakery I tell everyone about, gluten free or not.
Located on a quiet street in Vasastan, Malvas Bageri feels like stepping into a modern Nordic farmhouse, with wooden counters, soft lighting, and the comforting smell of fresh bread. They bake everything slowly, thoughtfully, and with a strong commitment to natural ingredients.
The entire bakery is 100% gluten free, which makes it an incredibly safe and welcoming spot for anyone with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Their clear labeling, careful routines, and naturally crafted recipes make every visit feel effortless and reassuring.
Their gluten free sourdough is a standout. It’s dense, flavorful, and with that perfect chewy crust you usually only dream of when you’re gluten intolerant. They’ve also opened a cozy café right next door, which means you can now take a fika there and enjoy everything fresh from the oven.
Price class: Medium (loaves around 70–90 SEK).
Why I love it: It’s artisanal without being pretentious. It’s a place where craftsmanship comes before trendiness, and easily my personal favorite.
Location: Vikingagatan 3, Vasastan

Kea Bageri

Kea Bageri is one of those small Stockholm bakeries that manages to feel both minimalist and warm at the same time. The space is bright and uncluttered, with a Scandinavian aesthetic that lets the pastries take center stage.
Located outside of the city in Bromma, Kea Bageri is Stockholm’s first fully gluten free bakery and remains one of the safest places for anyone with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Everything is 100% gluten free, from cakes and cookies to small seasonal bakes, all prepared with great care and respect for ingredients.
Their gluten free cardamom cake is a quiet masterpiece!
Price class: Medium (cakes 40–65 SEK).
Why I love it: It’s refined and calm, a lovely stop for a peaceful fika or a quick pick-me-up, and absolutely worth the trip to Bromma.

Happy Atelier

On Kungsholmen, Happy Atelier feels like stepping into a charming Parisian pâtisserie. Everything here is totally designed for indulgence. The bakery is entirely gluten free and even oat free, which means no compromises for those of us with celiac disease or severe gluten intolerance.
Every treat is handcrafted fresh each day, using the finest ingredients and a touch of traditional baking technique. The result is amazing baguettes, focaccia and buns.
Price class: Medium to high (pastries around 45–75 SEK).
Why I love it: It is one of the rare places where gluten free feels luxurious rather than a substitution. You go there to treat yourself, not just adjust your diet.

Fern & Fika

Fern & Fika combines two worlds beautifully: plant-based baking and gluten free creations. The bakery is bright and modern, with earthy tones, leafy plants, and a welcoming, almost café-like atmosphere.
They excel in health-conscious treats that somehow never taste “healthy”. They offer soft cookies, raw cakes, banana bread, and inventive seasonal bakes. Even thought the entire menu is not gluten free, they have many gluten free options available!
Price class: Medium to high
Why I love it: It’s the kind of place where you can indulge and still feel good, with thoughtful flavors and a menu that makes gluten-free choices feel natural and inviting.
Location: Långholmsgatan 11, Södermalm

Gullegårdens Glutenfria Bageri

A bit outside the city center sits Gullegårdens Glutenfria Bageri, a completely gluten free treasure that feels like visiting a countryside kitchen more than a commercial bakery.
Because everything is entirely gluten free, it’s one of the safest spots for celiacs in Stockholm. They specialize in hearty loaves, rustic buns, and traditional Swedish classics like lussekatter and semlor, all without gluten, but with incredible texture and flavor.
This is the place where you stock up for the week: bread that freezes well, sweet buns that stay soft, and fika pastries that taste like the ones you grew up with.
Price class: Affordable to medium (bread 55–75 SEK).
Why I love it: It feels personal, like baking passed down through generations, only updated for gluten free life.
